How to run an exam without student accounts
Teachers create the exam and share one link. Students use that link and a score code instead of registering for accounts.
Prepare and share the exam
Review the questions, points, timing, and controls. Publish the exam and copy its student link from the exam list. Send the link through your normal classroom channel.
Explain the score code before students start
Students receive a short score code at the start. Ask them to write it down. The code identifies their result when they return to the shared link.
Set expectations about result timing
Multiple-choice-only exams release scores immediately. Exams with open questions require the teacher to release results after review. Tell the class which workflow applies.
Help a student who lost the code
Find the student’s entry in the results list and provide their code through an appropriate classroom channel. Students should not use another student’s code.
Keep access simple
Students do not need an Examonkey account or an email-based sign-up. They still need access to the shared link and must provide the details requested for the exam.
