How to review AI-generated exam questions before using them

Check that it tests the intended material
Ask whether the question covers material students were expected to learn. A factually correct question can still be inappropriate when it depends on content outside the course.

Verify the question and expected answer against the teaching material and your own subject knowledge. Do not assume polished wording is automatically correct.
Remove ambiguity and review distractors
Look for wording that could support more than one interpretation. For multiple-choice questions, use plausible distractors without making them trick questions.
Review difficulty, duplication, and point values
Read the complete exam, not only individual questions. Remove repeated coverage and make sure points reflect the work expected from students.
Read the exam as a student
Before publishing, go through the exam in order and look for missing context, inconsistent terminology, accidental clues, and unclear expectations.
